Trach Tube - a tracheostomy tube. In an emergency situation, a person may stop breathing because pressure in the brain or injuries to the brain stop the breathing reflex. Medical workers cut a hole in the throat (trachea) and insert a tube that hooks to a ventilating machine, which will breathe for the person.

Trainer - a person who instructs an individual with a disability on the skills necessary to do a certain job. A trainer works with someone before they are employed (contrast to Job Coach) and make them "job ready".

Triceps - the muscle on the outside of the upper arm. It is responsible for extending the elbow and gets its name from the three bundles of muscle fibers which compose it.

U

UTI - Urinary Tract Infection - An infection causing painful urination. It is usually treated with antibiotics and lots of water. People with catheters run a higher risk of these infections and need to pay attention to preventing them.
